Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzales-Collins, who is the Mexican American journalist. She is currently employed by ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been since her age of nine. The ability to speak two languages was instrumental in securing her first work at Univision, Miami. She worked alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg hired her in the following year as an sports reporter. She worked as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. Reporters covered issues related to immigration and drug trafficking in both Texas as well as Mexico. The duties of anchoring for weather or sports were often requested. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. She was also given more work to do. She covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. In addition, she hosted on the regional Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She was the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. She also served in that role for the magazine program Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. In 1992 the family left Mexico for the US and was settled in Miami. Her parents divorced shortly thereafter and, in 1995, she was married to a naval designer called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. It was on a break in summer that she spent together with her sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured a job. Antonietta, a high-school senior who had a vision of how she wanted her career to be, decided to visit Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. It was discovered that she enjoyed the university as well as the fact that it offered the degree she was looking for. She completed her schooling and was admitted to the university to pursue a degree in Media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the manager at WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a member. He inspired her to be confident, and his love of journalism deeply affected her, and she, in turn, was determined to fulfill his expectations, and to never disappoint him.
